About the event
This 4-part series is perfect for folks wanting to learn or enhance their knowledge of creating pottery on the wheel from clay prep to glaze fire. Participants will focus each week on different steps of wheel-throwing basics, from wedging, centering clay, pulling cylinders, to creating various functional forms. Students will also learn basics of glazing. Instructor demos and individual instruction will guide students throughout the series.
We suggest you wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty, and closed toe shoes. Have long hair? Tie it back! Leave all jewelry and watches off during class. Long fingernails may also make working on the wheel more of a challenge, so best to get them done after the series is over!
Beginners are welcome, but this class is ideal for those who have already taken one of our beginner Sip & Spin classes, as the instruction will be more in depth.
