🎨 Fall Quarter Curriculum: Sept–Nov 

Second week of September thru first week of December (no class the week of Thanksgiving)

Mini Makers -- Tuesdays 10am |  11:30am 

Core Creatives -- Tuesday/Wednesday |  1:00 - 3:00pm

Teen Studio -- Thursday/Friday | 1:00 - 3:00pm

• September: The Elements of Art 

  • Learning and reinforcing the foundations of art - each age group will learn and review:

    • line & shape

    • color & value

    • light & shadow

    • texture
       

• October: Art + Science

  • We will explore a number of scientific concepts through artistic mediums. 

  • Some examples include but are not limited to:

    • physics through interactive or kinetic art pieces

    • biology with leaf prints and natural-made patterns

    • chemistry through chemical reactions (ie: how certain materials affect watercolor painting and the finished products as a result)

• November: Stories in Art

  • Exploring art with narratives, author/illustrators, and cultural impact of art.

  • For little one this looks like paper-bag puppets, for teens this could be creating a zine of their own. 

  • The last week (December) we will focus on putting our work from the season together for a final showcase gallery for friends and family to enjoy.

  • You do not need to take every single class with us to be a part of the showcase, if a child has even one project they'd like to display, they are welcome to do so.
